In college, I worked on research projects that provided me with some experience in organic and inorganic synthesis reactions and the chemical properties of the products were observed via NMR spectroscopy, FTIR, and sometimes with UV-Vis spectroscopy. Participation in these research projects has provided me with the opportunity to present my findings at the annual American Chemical Society meeting and earn an American Chemical Society certified Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in May of 2021.In September of 2021, I accepted a job offer with Quest Diagnostics in the confirmations area of the forensic toxicology laboratory where I primarily performed solid-phase extractions and liquid-liquid extractions of laboratory samples, and the extracts were prepared for analysis via GC-MS. More recently at quest, I learned the automated sample preparation techniques to complete analysis of samples via LC-MS. Work in the forensic toxicology laboratory has provided me with experience in proper chain of custody signing procedures, and the use of the company's online sample management program, as well as common usage of microsoft excel for data input.In May of 2023, I accepted a job as a Scientist II with Eurofins where I perform testing on pharmaceutical products. This position has offered me training various laboratory techniques such as samples preparations, Karl-Fischer titrations, Dissolution, UV-Vis, FTIR and HPLC/UPLC and Empower for data analysis with routine and complex chromatography analyses. I have also become familiar with using the company's LIMS system and following SOPs for various test methods and GMP guidelines in place for much of the work that we do with Eurofins. Additionally, I focus a lot on process improvement on my team at Eurofins and I will often present suggestions for improvements for our current practices to my leader/team.In June of 2025, I completed the leadership academy at Eurofins and earned certificate that represents the leadership knowledge and skills that I have acquired throughout the classes.
