About Austin Coln

I never expected to be a car guy. I took some shop classes in high school, but I drove beat-up sedans for the longest time. I was tricked into taking my first automotive job by a smooth talking used car sales manager at a CDJR dealership over 10 years ago. It was my first job after I graduated college and he promised me a truck load of and bonuses. I experienced the gambler's highs and lows of being a car salesman. What I did not realize at the time, was the valuable real world lessons on communications. I have a BA degree in Communications, but class room studies does nothing to prepare you for all the vibrant people and colorful situations you can find yourself in at a dealership. That experience became a launching point into the automotive industry with many twists, turns and surprises. I've experienced a plethora of roles from sales, service, BDC, parts, insurance adjusting, collision estimating and marketing. I'm excited about the future of the automobile and how it will change. I hope to be part of it.
