About Austin de Groot

I am currently a full time student in my second year of Electronics Engineering Technology at Durham College. For as long as I've been able to remember I have always been fascinated in electronic devices and how they work, going through high school that curiosity only led to more questions so I decided that to get the answers I had been looking for I needed to get my engineering degree. Over a year and a half at the school I have learned a lot about advanced electronics and being in this study a million different doors have opened up and I want to continue to learn more and more about the electronics field. My current education is only one step in what I hope to be a very long and distinguished career, the world of electronics is always advancing and I want to be someone to help with those advancements even if it's only a small thing, it could make all the difference later on. Along with being a student I also work at Shoppers Drug Mart as a Merchandiser and Receiver. This job has taught me a lot about organization and how to manage my time properly to always end up fulfilling my duties at the end of each shift. I work just as hard in school as I do in my job and because of this I have obtained an excellent work ethic. This job has also taught me how to be a follower as well as a leader, so I always have the confidence to be placed anywhere in a work place. Currently I am looking for an apprenticeship/co-op work to take my in class knowledge out into a practical environment to help me better understand where I will end up in the future.
