About Austin Dycus

I’m starting out in the entertainment and event services industry. I graduated from the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communications at Calstate Northridge, and during that time I’ve been taught by and workshopped with some of the best screenwriting and TV production professors and students. I continue to hone my skills and gain some practical experience as a warehouse technician at Show Imaging, Inc. in Vista, CA. I've jumped back and forth from their warehouse lighting department crew and working with their creative team as a video editor, just trying to find my footing here in the world of production. As I continue to learn and put some experience under my belt, I'm always reminding myself where I want to be: I want to entertain people and tell stories. My dream job is to be a writer. But there are many ways to be an entertainer and a storyteller. This is the first step on the long road ahead of me, and I may not know where I end up. I could be a writer, or a video editor, or any number of things, but the hope–the goal–is to tell stories. And I'm grateful to every soul who helped me take these first few steps. This journey started with my father, Terry Dycus, who always believed in me. Love you and miss you, Dad.(1962-2022)
