About: I began my Animation career in 2004 when I had the opportunity to do an internship at Digital Domain on the film,"Stealth". In 2005 I graduated from the Academy of Art University with a BFA in Animation and Visual Effects and I began working in video game development in San Rafael, California where I worked on several video game titles. I took on many roles while working in game development including Animator, Cinematic Artist, Lighter, and Compositor. In January of 2007 I joined the animation department at Tippett Studio where I worked on many live action, character and creature effects driven films including "Enchanted","The Spiderwick Chronicles", and "Cloverfield". In 2009 I Joined the animation department at Weta Digital in New Zealand to work on James Cameron's "Avatar" and remained at Weta Digital to work on many of the most successful films of the last decades, including "Rise of the Planet of the Apes","TinTin""Prometheus", and "The Hobbit", among others. In 2013 I Joined the Animation Department at Laika Inc. makers of the acclaimed stop motion films "Coraline" and "Paranorman" where I worked on Laika's third and fourth feature films “Boxtrolls" and “Kubo”. In 2015 I returned to my original passion of Fine Art and dedicated myself to pursuing my artwork full time. In 2020 Ford Gallery hosted my first solo art show titled “This Art is Not Safe” My work has been shown nationally and I continue to show and develop my body of work. I teach workshops in traditional art techniques, and Illustration classes at PNCA. With over 10 years of experience in animation for films, commercials and video games and 5+ years as a professional fine artist and educator, I look forward to drawing from my experience and contributing to challenging and rewarding projects.
