Austin is a Partner on The BHR Group at Morgan Stanley; an elite wealth management team devoted to helping successful families, entrepreneurs and corporate executives seeking to achieve their unique financial goals in today’s complex global marketplace. Opening his first investment account at 16 years with money saved from his Bar Mitzvah, Austin was captivated by the financial markets since a very young age. He had always thought that he would pursue a career in the hedge fund space, however, as he advanced in his college career and then his professional development he realized that he craved a profession where he’d have the opportunity to apply his knowledge and passion for investments and finance, but also directly impact the lives of successful individuals and families. With that deep desire to help, Austin pursued a career in Wealth Management with Morgan Stanley - and looking back today, he could not be more grateful for that decision.Austin graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and minor in Psychology. There he was an Executive Board Member of the prestigious Archway Investment Fund and led strategy development for the portfolio. Today, he is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Management Director at Morgan Stanley and has been named a member of the firms Pacesetter's Club since 2017, a global recognition program for Financial Advisors who demonstrate the highest professional standards and first class client service. Additionally, Austin has been named a Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor by Forbes since 2023. Austin believes that with the rapid advancement in the technology innovation cycle, it is crucial to understand long-term secular trends in the economy and adjust your investment portfolio accordingly. He thoroughly enjoys investment research and engaging with Morgan Stanley’s intellectual capital in search of inspired ideas that can help bolster clients’ investment strategies and position them for long term financial success.Aside from his career, Austin is actively involved with The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, with an additional focus on The Dennis Hersh Humanitarian Fund. In honor of his father Dennis G. Hersh, this fund supports CT Children's Medical Center and the CT Humane Society. In addition, Austin is an avid golfer, snowboarder and fond of most sports and athletic actives. Above all else, he values time with family and friends. Austin currently resides in his hometown of West Hartford, CT with his wife, Sarah, beloved daughters, Hayley and Demi, and their two dogs.
