About Austin Krystek

As a recent graduate from Carleton University, I bring a solid foundation in commerce, with a specialization in finance. My active involvement within the university community has honed my leadership and strategic skills. Serving as the team captain for the Ravens rowing team in 2020-2021, I worked closely with the administration to enhance fair representation of OUA teams on social media platforms. This leadership role has helped me understand the dynamics of team collaboration, and the importance of clear communication. In my position as the VP of Finance for the Sprott Marketing Student Association, I utilized my financial acumen to effectively plan and organize events, and to strategically plan for the association’s future. This role enhanced my ability to manage finances at an organizational level and to coordinate various moving parts. In addition, my CO-OP work term with the Department of National Defence as a procurement officer provided an invaluable practical experience. Here, I was able to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired from my studies in a real-world setting and gain insights into the workings of procurement. The synergy of these experiences has instilled in me adaptability and resilience, equipping me to succeed in any environment or situation. My diverse experiences across sectors and roles provide me with a unique perspective and an array of skills, making me an asset in any organization.
