Background
About Austin Lillard
I am a systems engineer in Lockheed Martin Commercial Civil Space, with experience in human spaceflight, system architecture, and mission CONOPS development. I currently refine multi-element systems architectures for Lunar Exploration, including experience with landers, mobility vehicles, nuclear power generation, surface power grids, human habitation, and integrated element CONOPS. On Orion, I acted as the Artemis II mission lead, having responsibility for developing the CONOPS and timeline for the first crewed Orion flight. As part of the National Team Human Lander System proposal, I acted as the Surface Operations Phase Lead, defining the CONOPS for crew on the lunar surface. Experience performing trade studies in many different areas, including: thermal, propulsion, power, avionics, software, and crew integration.
