Having over 25 years’ experience in corporate law, my clients quickly feel the reassurance of being in a safe pair of hands. For many people, the decisions I help them to make are amongst the biggest of their lives: it is imperative for them to know they can trust me completely. Although I have worked for some of the most respected law firms in the East Midlands, I reached a point where I wanted to set-up my own business. Austin Moore & Partners opened its doors in 2013, specialising exclusively in corporate and property transactions. Together with my business partner Vik Moothia, the vision was to build a company with all the technical skill of a large firm, but offering an approach which is perhaps more typical of a smaller boutique business. Our team of highly experienced solicitors each bring their own sphere of expertise: my particular domain is predominantly focused on: Sales and acquisitions Business reorganisations and reconstructions Corporate finance Whilst our fee structure isn’t unique, it is certainly unusual: We don’t charge by the hour We mostly work on a fixed fee basis Fees are agreed up front Our clients are never presented with an unexpected bill. Since 2013, I am proud to have grown the business to a team of 8 solicitors. We are all specialists in our chosen field; I believe this is at the heart of our success. On the basis that recommendations and referrals account for over 80% of our work, we think this demonstrates that our clients share our ethos.
