About Austin Nasser

While studying broadcast journalism at the University of South Carolina, I was able to acquire a variety of skills that I am ready to put to use in the professional world. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a sports concentration and sport and entertainment management minor. Over the course of my collegiate career, I was exposed to how the news industry works, gaining experience both in front of and behind the camera. Beginning in my sophomore year, I earned many reps as a sports anchor, reporter and writer for the student-run media group. In the first semester of my senior year, I was able to get a chance to call live collegiate games from behind the microphone as a play-by-play commentator. In my final semester as a college student, I transitioned into the newsroom where I was able to learn just about every role that is essential to running a successful news station. From being in charge of 30-minute shows as a producer to day-turn reporting, I was given the opportunity to display my skillset each day. Going forward, I look to build a career as a television producer, with hopes of eventually making a mark in the world of sports media.
