About Austin Scott
Medical dosimetry has been the most rewarding career I have experienced to this point in my life. I have pushed myself to learn and absorb from wherever I can, to try and become the best dosimetrist possible. I have been fortunate in having the opportunity to take the advanced planning (EC103) and inverse planning (EC112) courses at the Varian training center in Las Vegas. I have also participated in several of the ProKnow competitions which have been highly challenging and fun. Perhaps my most educational experience is the role of preceptor for the Pitt Community College Dosimetry program and the East Carolina Medical Physics residency. I look forward to continued learning and adaptation in a constantly evolving medical field.
