Background

About Austin Scriver

I am a software developer with several years of experience designing, building, and improving data-driven applications. I began my career working primarily with PHP and SQL Server, where I learned how to keep complex systems reliable and efficient. More recently I transitioned into a role focused on C#, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, giving me the opportunity to work on modern platforms that require both performance and scalability. My strength lies in taking large and often complicated codebases and making them more maintainable, streamlined, and secure. I enjoy building tools and applications that teams rely on every day, whether that means improving database performance, modernizing legacy code, or developing new features that add real business value. Along the way I have worked with JavaScript and Node.js, Python, Rust, and PowerShell, which has given me the ability to adapt quickly across stacks and solve problems with the right technology for the situation. Beyond development, I have a strong interest in cybersecurity. I often explore ethical penetration testing on the front end, including techniques like XSS, which helps me write safer and more resilient code. I approach projects with both a builder’s and a breaker’s mindset, ensuring that the solutions I deliver are not only functional but also durable against real world risks. I value clarity, structure, and impact in everything I build. My goal is always to leave systems better than I found them and to contribute in a way that makes the work of others easier and more effective.
