About Austin Young

I am an IUPUI graduate with a bachelors degree in Construction Management. Currently employed as a Project Driver for Prixcor Construction. I was 14 years old when I began my career in construction. Working for my father as a laborer in his small residential construction company, eager to earn a paycheck, but ultimately passionate about creating and building. Just like him. Throughout this experience, I learned first hand, the importance of hard work and customer satisfaction.Nearly ten years later, my passion, experience, and knowledge for construction have grown to larger scales. I moved from my small hometown to Indianapolis where I earned a bachelors degree in construction management and began applying my knowledge and skills to commercial construction. It is here that I continue to gain knowledge and expertise in commercial building practices primarily for healthcare markets. Recently earning my credentials as a LEED Green Associate, I am educated in sustainable building standards which are playing an increasingly important role in today's markets. In my current role I work with both field and office personnel on a daily basis. Managing budgets, as well as coordinating labor, material, and equipment to multiple projects for an on time and under budget delivery. This diversity of responsibility has helped me understand both perspectives of field and office engagement making me an effective communicator, critical thinker, and accountable leader. I intend to maintain this diversity as my career develops and the scale of my pursuits increase.
