About Austyn Ward

My name is Austyn Ward, and I hail from Southern California. Four years ago, I lived in Midwest furthering my education and career. Throughout this journey, I had the opportunity to play and coach college football while also teaching at an inpatient residential treatment facility. I possess both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree, and these experiences have taught me essential values such as accountability, discipline, ownership, and leadership.Currently, I am the head coach for a high school football team and work as a special education and resource specialist in an inclusive environment. Prior to February 2021, I dedicated myself to teaching teenagers with traumatic backgrounds, where I honed my ability to connect with students, inspire them both intrinsically and extrinsically, and create a classroom atmosphere rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and personal development. My commitment to these principles resulted in a commendable overall GPA of 2.6 for my students, marking a significant achievement for all.I am also in the process of obtaining a second Master’s Degree in Special Education while working towards a teaching credential for mild to moderate special needs. This ongoing educational pursuit reflects my commitment to continuously improving my skills and knowledge in this vital field.
