About Autumn Burrows

I am a passionate individual who values creativity, integrity, and vulnerability. I am very social and have always wanted to take on new and exciting adventures. My initial steps toward my career started in retail and customer service which propelled a deep-seated need to help and assist those looking for solutions; I quickly developed my skills around incredible customer service, communication, and compassionate leadership. I have over 10 years of experience in retail and customer service. I have held various supervisory roles being an assistant manager at a Calvin Klein store, and a key holder in every other position I have held. I have cash management experience, business development, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. I have experience using, Microsoft Word, Excell, word press, and square space. I am adept and able to grasp new concepts quickly. In my studies at the University of Ottawa, I developed critical thinking skills, communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and time management skills. I gained valuable leadership, marketing skills, entrepreneurial skills, networking skills, logistical skills, and event planning during my time as head of the recruitment position within my university's various club programs. After completing a four-year BA in Social Science at the University of Ottawa, my interests turned toward a more environmentally focused destination. While still wanting to make a difference in a small way I started looking into Green Industries, I excelled in the horticultural industry program at Algonquin School of media and design. During my time at Algonquin College, I learned a lot about garden management, design, hardscape installation, and other hands-on agriculture skills. In 2019 I have had the pleasure of coming on board into the Cannabis industry, in retail and in post-production. I have dedicated myself to upholding health Canada standards as well as sharing my insight on the products available. I'm always looking toward the future and I wish to enter a career in which to enhance my horticultural knowledge, digital marketing skills, my program development skills. I want to encourage a well-rounded knowledge of the cannabis industry and other green industries for myself; I hope to grow with this new and ever-changing community as we navigate new and uncharted territory.
