About Autumn Fairall

Hi, my name is Autumn. I am a nursing student at Chaminade University, and I will graduate with a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) Spring 2023. I am interested in pediatric oncology nursing. I am passionate about nursing and caring for people. I was diagnosed with cancer when I was a child, and the nurses who cared for me inspired me to care for other pediatric oncology patients. Although this experience was difficult, I learn a lot about myself and who I want to become. I learned patience and determination. I also learned that being joyful is a choice. These lessons contributed to who I am today and I hope to one day help other people the way nurses once helped me. My GPA is 3.75, and I am an active member of Chaminade University's Student Nurse's Association (SNA) and Red Cross. I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I have completed certified nurse's aide training, and I am a Certified Nursing Assistant. My work experience has developed through volunteering and occasional babysitting. Skills I have developed include interpersonal communication, teamwork, time management, organizational skills, patience, negotiating skills, and medical terminology. I am also familiar with Facebook and Microsoft Word.
