Treat others how you want to be treated, the golden rule. I learned this valuable lesson as a child and have carried it with me through adulthood and through my career. I have learned that if you just listen, empathize, and treat others the way you want to be treated, people will leave feeling good about their experience, even if it wasn't a very favorable experience.I am an experienced and professional customer service and customer relations specialist who has worked in the public sector for the majority of my career. I am finishing up a Master's degree in Human Services Counseling, for addictions and recovery. I want to help end the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and show the people that are starting their recovery journey, the care and empathy they deserve. I have a passion for helping people and have been praised for my ability to connect with them, and also for my ability to diffuse difficult situations before they escalate. With strong communication acumen and active listening skills, I am capable of quickly identifying client's needs and building a rapport with them.
