About Ava Dettling

I recently graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a double major in International Literary and Visual Studies and French and Francophone Cultural Studies, and a minor in English. My academic background has fueled a passion for the intersection of literature, film, and culture across global and historical contexts. As Deputy Executive Editor of the Arts Section at The Tufts Daily, I led editorial content, manage writers, and contribute cultural criticism—deepening my skills in editorial leadership and media analysis. I also interned with The Nederlander Organization, Hello! Magazine, and Musée Magazine, gaining hands-on experience in content creation, production coordination, and media relations. Now, I’m excited to bring my editorial and creative background into the world of film development and production, where I hope to contribute to compelling and culturally resonant storytelling.
