Writer, scholar, and educator from Los Angeles. I attended UC Berkeley as an American Studies major emphasizing analytics of vice and violence. I am currently pursuing a joint PhD at the University of Oregon in English and Environmental Science, Studies, and Policy. My academic work considers place and precarity in the American West, examining how wilderness and wasteland landscapes are constructed through and by settler colonialism and how white supremacy and environmental policy mutually reinforce each other in an American context. My work asks how white Americans learn whiteness through outdoor recreation and public history narratives constructed by public lands agencies.
