About Ava Johnson

As a former professional athlete with Team USA Women's Water Polo, I have had the privilege of competing at the highest levels of sport, embodying qualities such as teamwork, drive, tenacity, and dependability throughout my career. Now, as I transition from the pool to the professional arena, I bring a unique blend of athletic discipline and academic achievement. In addition to being a Division 1 Athlete at UCLA, the #1 ranked program in the nation, I earned my undergraduate degree in Public Affairs from the Luskin School of Public Policy, honing my understanding of policy-making and community engagement. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master's degree in Transformative Coaching and Leadership from UCLA's School of Education and Information Studies, equipping myself with advanced skills in motivating and developing individuals and teams. Throughout my athletic career, teamwork was paramount to our success. I understand the dynamics of collaboration, the importance of clear communication, and the ability to leverage diverse talents towards a common goal. Whether in the pool or in the workforce, I am committed to achieving excellence through cooperative effort and mutual respect.
