About Ava Schefren

As the Vice President and Secretary of Syracuse University Women in Communications (SUWIC), I lead a team who are passionate about empowering women in the communications industry. I oversee the strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, and outreach of the organization, and I also manage the social media platforms and website. In addition, I have gained valuable experience as a Digital Marketing Intern at PineBridge Investments, where I assisted with creating and executing online campaigns, analyzing data, and optimizing SEO and SEM. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Advertising at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where I have learned the fundamentals of creative strategy, copywriting, design, and media planning. I have also honed my skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Google Analytics and Facebook Ads Manager. I am a motivated, creative, and collaborative leader who is eager to learn and grow in the dynamic field of advertising and communications.
