About Ava Torgerson

As a Business Support Specialist at ET Capital Partners, I provide administrative and operational support to a team of investment professionals who manage a portfolio of private equity and venture capital funds. I handle various tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, maintaining databases, and communicating with clients and partners. I apply my problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the office. I also leverage my expertise in Microsoft Access to create and update complex spreadsheets and queries that facilitate data analysis and decision making. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Management from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, where I have learned the fundamentals of business planning, strategy, marketing, finance, and innovation. I have also gained valuable international experience by studying abroad in London, England, where I explored the culture and business environment of one of Europe's most dynamic and entrepreneurial cities. Prior to joining ET Capital Partners, I worked as a Receptionist at DOCTORSNOW WALK-IN CARE, LLC, where I delivered excellent customer service, managed appointments and billing, and assisted with medical records and insurance claims. I also served as the Vice President of Kappa Alpha Theta, a sorority that promotes academic excellence, leadership development, and community involvement among its members. I directed, designed, and facilitated weekly meetings with over 150 women, and consulted and collaborated with a national Panhellenic organization to implement new policies. I am always eager to learn new skills, expand my network, and take on new challenges. I value teamwork, creativity, and integrity, and I strive to make a positive impact in everything I do.
