I am a Service Engineer working in the field of Analytical Instrumentation specialized in Mass Spectrometry with over 10 years of field experience. I am specialized in servicing and working with high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-MS: TQ, HRes Q-TOF; Maldi-TOF). I have experience in across different industries from Food, Pharma and Biotech, Energy, Academics and IVD meeting the demands and challenges of each market. I believe long lasting organizations are built with transparency and honesty as values. Mass spectrometry and chromatography has been my passion for long time. For mass spectrometry generating ions in different ways with different source technologies, transporting them in the vacuum being sorted by their mass, accelerated, trapped, guided, fragmented, pumped away and detected:) Gas and liquid chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, Nano-LC) is one of the fields I am also very experienced and play a huge role for a well performing instrument and sample quality. Some people hate it, some love it and I am definitely on the side that love it! I believe that in general Mass Spectrometry and High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (4D dimensions) are going to change many aspects of our life in the future, not only because of the high speed but also additional information it provides, will add a whole new range of tests in the healthcare and precision medicine, as well as environmental analysis (monitoring many persistent chemicals) and QC analysis. Drug discovery is also getting a new area using this technology. In the life-science, forensics, food and industry mass specs are going to make possible real-time applications or near real-time that will drive many improvements in production quality and safety. I am truly grateful person, specially for all people I met on the way and had the chance to learn from them and that have helped me to become a service engineer for life science and analytical technology, that I believe is my dream job.
