About Avery Agles
I use molecular simulations to elucidate the interactions of water with biological and geologic surfaces, and their implications for soil health, carbon sequestration, and the physics of biofilms. More recently, I have moved towards using molecular-scale findings to develop continuum scale models of soils and biofilms. With our custom built solver, I hope to elucidate the physics that underpin why saltwater intrusion can change the erodibility and carbon content of aquatic sediments.
