About Avery Chan

I chose to double major in Computer Science and Business because they work well together in this era of technological modernization and innovation. I seek to use my knowledge from both majors to make a meaningful impact and continuously innovate technology, especially with data. I became interested in data because of what it could tell us, from improvements to opportunities, and the different ways to interpret it. My expertise in Python, R, and SQL allows me to conduct data gathering, organization, analysis, and visualization. Also, being a Cognizant Generative AI Extern made me realize how powerful data is and its different uses, like teaching and improving deep learning and AI models.I currently work as Research/Data Analyst at JFK Today to find effective marketing techniques and use social media analytics to see where we can improve social outreach. As Research Analyst at Wheaton College, I used the Pandas and Matplotlib libraries to conduct data analysis and visualization for research on immigration and household language throughout the generations.
