About Avery Colvin

My name is Avery Colvin. I am currently enrolled at Estrella Mountain Community College. I am majoring in Exercise Science and will be obtaining my Associate's Degree next year. I will serve a church mission for 18 months post-graduation. Upon return, I will transfer to an in-state university to earn a Bachelor's degree. Along with my education, I am a Physical Therapy Technician with OrthoArizona. My love for helping people, playing sports, and passion in my anatomy classes all correlated into this job. Ever since I started this past May, I have gained even greater knowledge as to what Physical Therapist's do and how rehabilitation can help patients become pain free, mobile, etc. It is really fulfilling to see how happy patients when they accomplish their goal. Ultimately, I hope to become a Physical Therapist to help those who are unable to help themselves. Aside from work and school, I enjoy spending quality time with family, exercising, listening to music, and playing the piano since the age of 5. I have done solo performances and accompaniments in many church-related activities and meetings. Additionally, within my church, I have been class president, music leader for the congregation, service project participant, and primary teacher for ages 10-11. I also have a passion for sports, primarily softball and earned MVP. These experiences have helped me learn valuable skills applicable to future opportunities, which I am eager to be part of.
