About Avery Fox

Growing up, I was in awe of the power of storytelling, but through college and learning my trans identity, realized how powerful storytelling can truly be, but in the opposite sense. Negative stereotypes perpetuated through film and TV only fuel the fire of hatred and ignorance, and not enough creators think critically about their implications. I’m grateful to feel as passionate as I do responsible to be a part of the change in bettering representation that I, and so many others, need to see. Avery is a producer, has interest and experience writing, directing, and editing, and is a digital creator and advocate for inclusion on social media. Drawn to the unscripted world, he co-created his thesis documentary, “Translucent”, which followed his transition and the effects it had on his family, and was selected as a Finalist in the Student Academy Awards. Additionally, he is the 1st place winner of the first ever CSU-wide "Here's The Pitch!" Competition.
