About Avery Gil

I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from Schreiner University-a small university in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with a degree in Biology. In May 2017, I received my D.D.S. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry in Houston, TX. I passed the WREB licensure exam and am currently licensed in Texas. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma Graduate Orthodontics Program in December of 2019 with a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science Degree. The University of Oklahoma’s Graduate Orthodontic Program has provided me an enriching educational experience. I have gained clinical experience using a wide variety of traditional edgewise and self-ligating brackets in both the 018 and the 022 systems. I am currently treating a wide variety of cases including early treatment, cleft lip and/or palate patients, orthognathic surgery, and comprehensive cases. I consider myself a hard-working, quick-learning, and self-motivated person. Developing and maintaining trustworthy and meaningful relationships with my peers, staff, and patients is of the utmost importance to me. Community involvement and service is another essential quality I am looking for in a potential associateship. I have been an associate orthodontist since January of 2020 utilizing the latest technology in orthodontic care including Invisalign, SureSmile, and iCAT CBCT radiology. In my current position I have increased the value of the production of the practice by almost 50%. My goal is to find a practice opportunity as an associate with future buy-in potential that will afford me the chance to provide quality orthodontic treatment and establish lasting relationships with my patients and the community.
