About Avery Monroe

I am currently a Marketing and Management major with a certificate in Leadership through Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. Known for my loyalty, outgoing personality, and strong work ethic, I strive to not only meet expectations but exceed them in every role I take on. During my time so far at the University of Oklahoma, I have joined the very selective and professional JCPenney Leadership Program in the Price College of Business. I also had the opportunity to be a part of Best Buddies, an organization that allows people with special needs a chance to advocate themselves and create one-to-one friendships. I have also volunteered with OU Dance Marathon, Champions Are Readers, and The Big Event. I founded the Mental and Physical Health Chair in my sorority, where I consistently advocate for wellness initiatives to promote nutrition, mental health, and fitness. I participated in the Integrated Business Core Program where I led my company as the Chief Sales Officer. Most recently, I am excited to announce that I have accepted a position as an Account Executive at Goosehead Insurance, beginning this summer! According to Gallup StrengthsFinder 2.0, my top 5 strengths are: 1. Command- has strong presence and can take initiative in situations to make decisions 2. Deliberative-anticipates obstacles through the serious care in making decisions or choices 3. Ideation- intrigued by ideas and are able to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena 4. Futuristic-highly motivated by my future goals and inspire others to achieve their dreams 5. Competition- does well by measuring their own progress by the performance of others to strive of being the best
