About Avery Tomaso

I’m a passionate advocate for literature with a BA in English from the University of Michigan. My academic journey has deepened my appreciation for literary analysis and storytelling, which I’ve further explored through various avenues. Since graduating, I’ve been working as a Communications Associate for PROPEL Health, a USAID-funded health systems strengthening project, where I applied my skills in communication, but my true calling lies in the realm of literature and academia. In addition to my professional work, I’ve contributed as a freelance writer to Food Republic, where I had the opportunity to merge my love for writing with my interest in food culture. This experience has enriched my writing and editing skills, but my heart remains firmly rooted in literary studies. As of fall 2024, I’ll be taking the next step in my academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree in English at Boston College. I’m deeply committed to giving back to the humanities and inspiring a new generation of students to explore the richness of literary studies.
