About Avi Laufer

The goal of education for me has always been to guide student to be successful adults with the skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society in a role they are passionate about. I look to achieve this goal by creating lessons that are engaging to students through inquiry learning and a focus on student passions and the real world application of those passions. I have spent the last 15 years working with children in a variety of settings getting to understand how they think and what motivates them. I work well as part of a team and have opportunities to lead my own teams as a recruitment officer supervisor and program director. As well as participate in collaborative teams throughout my teaching career. A general easy going attitude that makes me very approachable and easy to get along with. I strive to complete the best work that I can in any situation taking input and feedback from others and adjusting my style to best fit the situation at hand. Always eager to learn new skills I have taken additional qualifications in teaching to continue expanding my knowledge and learn new ways to engage with my students.
