Polymer/materials scientist with an academic background in chemical engineering (BSc, MS) and extensive research experience (PhD) in bio-nanocomposite, intelligent packaging/coating, food microbiology/safety, biotechnology/industrial process optimization. Data analysis skills in R, Python and SQL. Expertise and Skills: • Synthesis of functional polymers, cellulosic, clay, bio-materials, attachment, cross-linking of polymers, polymeric micro- or nanoparticles, encapsulation of bioactive agents. • In depth knowledge and research experience in bioactive/intelligent packaging for food industry, chitosan based packaging and antimicrobial application, microbial analysis (in vitro and in situ), and natural antimicrobial and antioxidant molecules. • Experience of working with companies such as, SC Johnson (USA), Stora Enso (Finland) to develop paper/polymer-based antimicrobial/antiviral products for personal hygiene applications. • Trained in Six Sigma Lean Green Belt Certified (LGBC); 5S; Critical to Quality (CTx) characteristics; DMAIC, Kaizen and Lean methodology. • Knowledge of database and data analysis programming platforms such as, Python and SQL. • Experience of statistical data analysis using R, statistical process control and optimization; with Strong theoretical background in descriptive/inferential statistics and Bayesian statistics. • Chemical, bio-chemical, microbial, thermal and spectroscopic analysis and properties of biomaterials/biological samples. • Certification and training in project management; familiarity with different methods of project execution such as, agile, scrum and Kanban. • Experience in optimization, process development, technology transfer, commercialization and technical feasibility studies.
