About Avinash Davidson

I am an Architect working in Toronto, Canada, with a Master of Architecture in sustainable building technology from the University of Nottingham, U.K, and over 12 years of professional experience. Through my work in Canada since 2015, I have gained an understanding of the architectural design process, building envelope detailing, documentation, building permit, and building code related information that goes into a project. In approaching the design process, I deal with both the context at different scales, and the specific issues at hand, to find the best possible solution to a given condition. I seek to bring to realization architecture that achieves not only a unique aesthetic, but comfort, efficiency and practicality of use. I work toward architecture that is founded on strong concepts drawn from context and climate, and carries that strength through to completion. I have been a part of teams working on conceptual presentations, design proposals and project construction documentation for commercial office, residential, mixed use, institutional and urban design projects in Canada, India, Asia, the United States, and coordinating teams across the globe.
