I am currently working as a Call Handler for BT Group. Previous experience of working as a Vocational Skills Coach at CSR Scientific Training Ltd. I have also worked as Science Technician for Milton Keynes Academy, where I am responsible for preparing practical equipment, providing technical support to teachers, and ensuring the health & safety across the labs and prep rooms. During the pandemic I worked as a Laboratory Operative in a SARS-coV-2 diagnostics lab. Carrying out mass PCR testing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Within this role, I was also a training supervisor, I was ensuring that all new employees had the adequate skills and knowledge to for fill the position. In September 2020, I graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours degree in BSc Biological and Chemical sciences at CU Coventry. As well as having degree level experience, I have also gained a certificate in excellent pipetting skills certified by ESSLAB. Also gained training certification in Eppendorf centrifuge and pipetting. I have also completed a 5-day Molecular biology intensive laboratory training course at BioGrad. This comprehensive training course has provided me with the skills to perform ELISA’s, conducting western blot’s, DNA and RNA extraction and carrying out qPCR within the lab. Whilst studying, I worked at Waitrose & Partners as Customer service supervisor for 7 years. Skilled in Communication, Easily Adaptable, Employee Loyalty, Organisation Skills, Customer Service and proficient with the use of Microsoft office.
