About Avnish Kumar Goel

In my overall IT experience till date, I got opportunity to gain experience as Product Owner (Calypso Release), Test Automation Manager, Agile Methodology and Calypso Business Analyst. I mostly worked in Banking Domain, which include Investment Banking (FIs, IRDs) and Core Banking (Payments) so far during this tenor. Also, I got chance to work on various roles and tools. Some of the highlights from those are- As Product Owner of Calypso Release, managing the release process and coordinating with multiple functional teams for monthly release during a massive development phase were the main responsibilities along with guiding team on different technical/functional aspects and helping with prioritization of tasks - As a Test Automation Epic Owner in the value stream, I manage to bring automation awareness in the value stream and managed to increase automation level for regression tests significantly. Mostly worked with UFT and CATT application for this automation transformation- As a Calypso Business Analyst, I manage to support value stream in enhancing the scope of the calypso application in the bank by migrating products from other applications which was huge cost saving for the organization. Data archiving and purging process is another major improvement I could manage to bring in so that application performance will not be affected due to increasing DB size- Deputy Production Owner is another role I am responsible of from time to time. At various occasions I got opportunity to deputize APO in day-to-day activity as well representing team in many forums - Release Management is the responsibility, I get opportunity to work with, in parallel to other responsibilities. Under this role, I did support value stream with planning multiple back-to-back and parallel releases with interdependency and of different complexities. Also, I helped value stream by defining and simplifying the complex delivery process starting from development to production deployment- Release Test Manager/Test Lead is another major role I hold among many more others. In this role, I did support teams in ensuring the coverage and completeness of regression/progression testing in order to ensure on release quality. Under this role, across different projects, I got chance to worked closely in Agile methodology as well on each phase of SDLC/STLC and JIRA is the tool used to setup the test management & execution process- As well worked a lot in training value stream and bringing onboard different teams on some of the tools, Like, JIRA, UFT, CATT, ALM, Calypso
