About Axel Juslin

Currently researching the causes of organizational decline and turnaround strategies at Aalto University. Specifically my research aims to study how the combinations of various strategic orientations, market-based capabilities, and environmental factors affect organizational decline. By investigating decline from this type of configurational perspective using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), this dissertation contributes to the existing literature by introducing a novel approach to examine decline, and by bringing marketing and strategic management concepts to organizational decline literature. My teaching portfolio at Aalto University include: co-teaching courses in Market Research and Service Business Strategy. Assisting courses in Qualitative Research Methods, Marketing Analytics, and Strategy and Marketing from a Business History Perspective. I have also been fortunate enough to be involved with lots of fun projects over the years. I have helped companies through consulting projects with questions related to growth strategy, digital innovation, and business model transformation. For example, I have supervised a project investigating EY-Parthenon's brand: and also conducted market research into new solar business models for Finland's leading energy company, Helen In addition to this, I'm a Masters student in mathematics.
