About Ayaka Ishiguro

Ayaka Ishiguro is a Manager for Tech-based credit team, Carbon Management Dept, Next-Generation Energy Division in Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo. Prior to her current role, Ayaka led a team of dedicated and passionate colleagues in 10 offices across Africa focusing on energy transition and dedicated to developing projects such as carbon credits, hydrogen, ammonia, and sustainable aviation fuels. Ayaka’s global insight combined with on the ground knowledge and network provides a seamless platform for Mitsubishi Corporation to seek out scaling success opportunities, tech transfer, and adding green revenues through a global solution unique to Africa. Ayaka also held several roles within Mitsubishi Corporation predominantly within the mining and mineral recourses sector which included being seconded to Mozal, an aluminium smelter in Mozambique as a financial reporting analysist for 2 years. Ayaka has worked in Africa for more than 6 years and is committed to creating jobs for the youth in Africa, a passion started many years ago as a university student when she joined a group of volunteers to improve the primary school system in Kisumu.
