About Ayako Redon

Born in Hokkaido. Rooted in a unique blend of Japanese and French cultures, I have always been drawn to the study of philosophy, literature, and culture, which I pursued at university. My professional journey began while still in University in Japan, working part-time at Variosa Inc. There, I initially served as a fundraiser at Amnesty International Japan, rapidly expanding my responsibilities to include three additional NGOs, eventually stepping into a team leader role, focusing on training and resource development. Post-graduation, I evolved into a junior manager in the fundraising department, leading donation acquisition strategies across various NGOs, including human rights, refugee support, medical, and environmental protection organizations. My pursuit of academic and professional development led me to France in 2013, where I earned a Master's degree specializing in European history and culture from Sorbonne University and worked as a lecturer at the Chatillon Cultural Center. Returning to Japan in 2018, I engaged in diverse freelance roles encompassing member support for NGOs, event management in music, and translation services. In February 2019, I joined Les Médecins du Monde Japan (Doctors of the World) as a fundraiser focusing on corporate donations and grants, and later transitioned to a major donor role at the World Wide Fund for Nature Japan(WWF Japan). Seeking to make a broader impact from a corporate standpoint, I joined MS & AD InterRisk Research & Consulting Inc, where I currently lead a new sustainability-focused business initiative. As a Sustainability Consultant, I work with a range of companies from small businesses to listed corporations, aiding in their pursuit of ethical and sustainable growth.
