About Ayami Kojima

Thank you for visiting my page. I am passionate about outreach and education, especially in outer space. I started my career at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). After serving at the Public Affairs Office, Finance Office, and Space Education Office of JAXA for 7 years, I was seconded to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. At the UN, I was responsible for various capacity-building programmes to bridge the gap between space-farring nations and space-emerging nations, as well as the launch of the "Space for Youth Programme" to amplify the voices of young people around the world. After having fulfilled experience at the UN for 3 years, I was seconded to the National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office of Japan, as an international relations specialist. After serving as a public servant for about 2 years, I am finally back at JAXA. Currently, I am a communication officer at the Human Space Directorate.
