Translational neuroscientist with 13+ years of drug discovery, biomarker development and neuropharmacology experience, working across disciplines in a matrixed environment towards a mission to develop novel therapeutic strategies for unmet medical needs in CNS disorders. • Driving initiatives as translational lead in small molecule drug discovery, gene therapy and ASO interventions for neurodevelopmental, neurological, neurodegenerative diseases and multiple sclerosis. • Championing strategies for implementation of functional brain measurements (EEG, ERP and Functional Ultrasound) for translational and clinical research across R&D. • Driven by novel challenges and ideas in the field of therapeutic research like using genetic approaches for diseases and AI/ML based analyses of functional brain imaging and digital biomarkers. • Led programs in neuroscience drug discovery and development for ion-channels and GPCRs indicated for neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders. • Critically contributed with IND enabling proof-of-concept studies for the progression of drug targets from target validation to clinical stages for schizophrenia by leading assay development, designing ex vivo and in vivo pharmacology and electrophysiology experiments to show preclinical activity and efficacy in rodent models. • Broad scientific knowledge and experience with strategizing R2D transitions, developing clinical development plans and supporting biomarker development for clinical trials.
