About Ayane Okadome

I am a bilingual graduate student at the University of the Sacred Heart, Tokyo, specializing in Media and Politics under Professor David McNeill (former Tokyo correspondent for The Economist). My research explores how social media is reshaping Japan’s political communication and public engagement, focusing on the intersection between technology, information, and society. In parallel, I intern at FLUX Inc, where I first worked in the HR Solutions Division, supporting a foreign-national team and organizing internal events to strengthen collaboration. After three months, I transitioned to the Marketing Division, where I manage event planning, partnership research, and lead-generation initiatives — building connections between companies and talent through digital strategies. In addition, I have over four years of experience at Starbucks Coffee Japan, where I developed strong customer communication skills and leadership through staff training and team management. Previously, I led my university’s Orchestra Club (20–30 members) as President, organizing performances and digital promotion during the pandemic. These experiences collectively shaped my ability to connect people and ideas across different contexts.
