About Aydan Hinkle

As a driven and hands-on civil engineering professional, I’ve spent the past two years with KCI building a strong foundation in transportation infrastructure through a dynamic rotational program and now a full-time role in Charleston, SC. My journey began in Charleston, where I gained my first field experience working on pile driving and concrete operations, including curb, gutter, and sidewalk construction. I then transitioned to Columbia, SC, contributing to the largest infrastructure project in the state’s history. There, I deepened my expertise in concrete testing for bridge decks and barrier walls. My final rotation took me to Morganton, NC, where I supported a bridge replacement project, focusing on helical anchor walls and forming bridge caps. Currently, I’m back in Charleston, working full-time on the I-26/SC-27 interchange widening project—bringing together everything I’ve learned to help deliver impactful results. Along the way, I’ve earned certifications in SCDOT Earthwork, Asphalt, Concrete, and Foundations, as well as ACI and CEPSCI. Most recently, I passed the FE exam and am now a certified Engineer in Training (EIT), ready to take on greater responsibilities and continue growing in the field. I’m passionate about infrastructure development, field engineering, and continuous learning.
