My name is AyeAye Thin. I graduated from St Olaf College majoring in Social Work with a focus in Race and Ethnic Studies. I am also currently working as a Karen interpreter for St. Paul Public Schools. I work with children on various aspects such as self help, social and emotional, motor, and cognitive development skills. I also work with families and staff in order to provide better services to those children. I am interested in working with refugee families who aim to start their new lives in the United States. As a refugee immigrant myself, I understand the struggles and the challenges that families face due to language barriers, lack of knowledge of the system of the country, and other issues. The goal is to help families navigate the challenges that refugee families face and also help locate and explain resources that are available to help them succeed!
