My name is Ayelia Ali and I am an education, public health and social justice advocate. I was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States with my family at the age of 3. With the support of my parents, teachers and loved ones, I attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas. There, I received my B.A with majors in international relations and public health, and eventually my master's in education from Harvard University. I believe education is the most pressing issue of our time, as it is the building block of society. Some of my interests are: finding innovative ways to create opportunities for those who are systemically oppressed by educational inequity, cross-sector collaboration, relationship/community building, and continuously operating under a social-justice, growth-mindset oriented lens.
