Ayodeji Makinde is a comic book writer, art director, lawyer and founder of ComicsDI;a Pan-African comic brand in United Kingdom. His Afro-futuristic Comic Web Series,"LAGELU, the Kingdom on Four Hills" is his most celebrated work yet. His Afro-futuristic Comic Web Series got a feature on BBC in 2020. Lagelu also got a feature on Forbes in 2020. Duro, his first African Mythological short work done in honor of late Pius Adesanmi, the enigmatic former director of institute of African studies, Carleton University, Canada became the first comic to get a royal endorsement in Africa from one of the highest custodians of culture in Yorubaland, Nigeria, West Africa, His Imperial Majesty "Oba Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife" Duro was later exhibited on Digital Nollywood by Dr. James Yeku, Assistant Professor of African Digital Humanities, Kansas, Texas, USA. In 2020, he was a guest speaker on the highly celebrated Afrocon in the United States. In May, 2021, his celebrated work, Lagelu the Kingdom on Four Hills, got featured in a phenomenal Afro-futuristic documentary by the German Mega media "DW" alongside the work of multiple Grammy award winner "Beyoncé," Legendary costume designer "Ruth E. Carter" and the globally acclaimed Black Panther movie. In August, 2021, he got featured by the African Leadership University, Mauritius as a trailblazing entrepreneur for his Afro-futuristic work in the creative industry. Also, in 2021, his Sci-fi short story "Kadara" about global warming got long listed in the Africa@2050 Climate change project. He is an highly innovative young man who likes to explore new things while setting new paces for himself within the creative sphere.
