About Aysia Johnson

Ever since I could walk I always had a ball in my hand. My whole life I have had immense love for sports, especially basketball. Learning how to play with a team, improve as an individual, and go through the ups and downs throughout a season is a feeling that I constantly crave. My athletic background has shaped me into the motivated, goal oriented, and energetic leader that I am today. I am relentless. I love to have a full schedule with every hour of my day planned out. I want to be productive with every minute I am given. I put in 100% of my effort into whatever I am doing, because I am passionate and competitive. I strive to be the best so that I can perform at my best in situations where I am needed. I studied business administrations with a concentration in financial management and personal financial planning. In doing so, I discovered a passion for teaching low- income families how to build generational wealth. I have also developed communication, collaboration, social awareness, and leadership skills through personal experiences on the court and business settings. As a three year captain on my college basketball team I learned how to motivate people from all different backgrounds towards a common goal. Additionally, I interned with Financial Alternatives, a financial planning firm in San Diego. I gained experience working on the investment, operational, and planning teams. I was able to get mentored by the lead advisor and partner of the firm, which gave me tremendous insight on how to build and collaborate with your team members. My future aspiration include getting my CFP designation so that I can become a lead advisor and potentially start my own firm. I want to expand my clientele base to lower income families so that I can impact more lives. I would also plan to pursue a professional basketball career after I finish my Masters of Leadership and Innovation at Biola University.
