About Ayten Caputcu

With a Ph.D. in Cement and Concrete Technologies and over 6 of experience in R&D, I am dedicated to shaping a more sustainable future for the construction industry. Throughout my career, I have combined scientific research with industry experience to develop advanced solutions in cement chemistry, concrete durability, alternative fuels, and recycled materials. I specialize in integrating alternative raw materials, optimizing clinker production, and designing innovative concrete mixes tailored for environmental performance. One of my greatest passions is exploring the hidden world of materials through microscopy. I find endless inspiration in studying the microstructure of clinker, where science meets creativity and the tiniest details reveal the biggest innovations. Thanks to my academic background, I enjoy closely following sectoral innovations and approaching them with an innovative mindset, always seeking opportunities to transform research into impactful solutions. Driven by a deep curiosity and a love for research, I continuously seek ways to challenge conventional limits and create tangible improvements in the cement and concrete sector. Currently working at Çimsa, I lead and contribute to national and international R&D projects, including Horizon 2020 programs, focusing on circular economy, carbon footprint reduction, and material innovation. Guided by science and fueled by curiosity, I aim to illuminate the unseen, transform challenges into opportunities for a better tomorrow, and build a collaborative ecosystem where innovation and sustainability can truly thrive.
