About Azfar Ali

I am an ACCA Fellow Member with experience of more than 13 years in the field of governance, controls and internal audit. Presently, I am working as a Senior Manager in the International Banking Department of HBL - Habib Bank Ltd, the largest bank in Pakistan. Previously I have worked in the Internal Audit Division of Bank Al Habib and in the Advisory department of Ernst & Young Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder (a member firm of Ernst & Young Global). I have had an opportunity of being involved in varied special nature advisory engagements, internal audits of various departments and divisions of banks, asset management and insurance companies, COSO framework implementation and development of Policies and Procedure manuals. This exposure to a wide spectrum of clients has provided me with an in-depth view of the key business processes, risk management procedures, accounting and internal control systems of organisations. Equally important, it has enriched me professionally and equipped me with the traits needed to deal with a variety of situations in an innovative, effective and efficient manner.
