About Aziza Lucas

Aziza graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from California State University Dominguez Hills. While there, she earned the opportunity to intern with Command Packaging, a manufacturer of sustainable bags used across the retail, food service, and grocery industries. As a Production Artist and Graphic Designer, she used trapping, color separation, and typography techniques and recreated vector art from sketches, scans, and non-production artwork, ensuring that her work met production requirements and satisfied customers. After graduation and the completion of her internship, Aziza launched her accomplishment-rich career as a Graphic Designer, taking on multiple leadership roles. She gained experience in numerous industries, including textiles, home décor, and stationery. As a Senior Graphic Designer with The Rug Market, she built the Design Department from the ground up and applied her business and marketing prowess to integrate functional operations which aligned with company goals. In her most recent role of Graphic Designer with Punch Studio, Aziza’s talents proved crucial in obtaining a national key client account: Michael’s. Aziza invested her time in conducting market research to identify current trends and market activities, and she fused this data with her insightful creativity to draft multiple designs. These designs were featured in a sales presentation to the Head National Buyer for Michael’s, leading to the key client acquisition, and to Aziza producing multiple subsequent projects for the client. During her 6 year tenure with the company, Aziza’s designs were displayed in multiple sales presentations. Her keen ability to balance client expectations with innovation directly contributed to doubling the client base for the company during her tenure. Outside of the design studio, Aziza is a fierce advocate for holistic health and wellness. She is currently obtaining her Yoga Instructor Certification, and she co-launched her own nutritional consultancy company, Noire Nutrition. Noire Nutrition empowers women of color to optimize their health through nutritional literacy, whole food nutrition, mineral balancing, positive lifestyle changes, and restorative sleep habits. Aziza firmly believes that good nutrition reveals one’s healthiest self and that integrating nutritional education and lasting behavioral changes are the key to overall well-being.
