Background
About B. Andi Lee
I am a pre-doctoral intern at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services and doctoral candidate in Clinical-Community Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research centers two main topics:(1) a sense of belonging, and (2) radical healing for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). I am developing theory-driven ways to measure these processes to inform healing interventions. Ultimately, my hope for my research and career include dreaming of new ways to decolonize research while fostering radical healing and liberation (e.g, making the research participation process healing, ensuring that BIPOC communities have greater ownership and input in the questions we ask, and promoting community accessibility to research findings overall). My post-secondary education completed at Tufts University, where I double majored in Clinical Psychology and English. My academic and industry experience is in clinical research, statistics, literary analysis, and scientific as well as magazine publications. I have also studied marketing, design (Adobe Creative Suite), web design (HTML/CSS) and studio art to supplement my academic career.
